American post-metal band Deafheaven performs at Amager Bio in Copenhagen.
Deafheaven are an American blackgaze band from San Francisco, formed in 2010 by vocalist George Clarke and guitarist Kerry McCoy. They fuse black metal ferocity with shoegaze melody and post-rock dynamics, drawing fans from both the metal underground and the wider indie world. Their 2013 album "Sunbather" broke them internationally and appears on Rolling Stone's 100 Greatest Metal Albums of All Time. Six studio albums and relentless touring have cemented their reputation as one of the most distinctive heavy bands of their generation.
Consequence named Deafheaven 'Heavy Band of the Year 2025', and frontman George Clarke confirmed in a cover interview that the band will release new music and tour even more in 2026.
Deafheaven released their sixth studio album "Lonely People with Power" via Roadrunner Records - the band's first release on the label.
The band announced the album "Lonely People with Power" and released the first single "Magnolia" as well as a 25-date North American tour.
Deafheaven played a long series of European festivals in the summer of 2025, including Graspop Metal Meeting in Belgium, Hellfest in France and Tons of Rock in Norway.
Deafheaven is booked to play Amager Bio in Copenhagen on August 25, 2026 as part of a larger European tour.
