The Baroque Society

About

The Baroque Society is a Copenhagen-based baroque band founded and led by Norwegian harpsichordist and organist Yngvild Haaland Ruud. The ensemble pairs historically informed performance with improvisation and bold programming, shining a light on overlooked baroque works and music by female composers alongside familiar classics. Their 2026 season is backed by the Danish Arts Foundation, A.P. Møller Fonden, Augustinus Fonden and several other major Danish cultural funds.
