Music House Brønshøj: Torben Steno with Klitgård & Kløgholt
Torben Steno revives forgotten songs from his 40-year career with the trio Klitgård & Kløgholt in an evening of electric guitar, bass and drums.
Torben Steno (born 1 October 1959 in Næstved) is a Danish journalist, radio and TV host, and musician who has been active for more than four decades. Trained as a journalist at the Danish School of Journalism in 1985, he became a familiar face on DR2 and P1 before co-founding the cult trio Pligten Kalder alongside Johan Olsen of Magtens Korridorer and saxophonist Peter Bech-Jessen. He also performs with his own Torben Steno Trio, playing what he wryly calls urinsyrerock - gout rock.
Pligten Kalder played to sold-out houses on their latest tour with the EP 'Til Afståelse' from 2024 in their repertoire.
Pligten Kalder performed at Rotationen in Holbæk on April 4, 2025 with material from the EP 'Til Afståelse' and the unfinished musical 'Emhætte og Ulven'.
Pligten Kalder released the EP 'Til Afståelse' in 2024, which according to the band itself was a commercial failure - but received numerous plays on Spotify in Africa, including in Burkina Faso.
Torben Steno participated in a POVcast where he told about Pligten Kalder's origins as a pub joke and about the band's path to a steady core audience.
Torben Steno was played on DR P8 on May 8, 2024 and on P5 on January 21, 2024.
