About the venue

Rebildcentret med Thingbæk Kalkminer near Skørping is a museum that pairs underground chalk mines with modern exhibition buildings covering 1,600 m². Sculptor Anders Bundgaard opened the mines as a sculpture museum in 1935, placing his gypsum works in the caves; Carl Johan Bonnesen's sculptures were added in 1969. Today the centre holds permanent exhibitions on chalk, springs, art and the Cold War - including the REGAN Vest bunker - alongside rotating special exhibitions. Events range from underground concerts to nature walks, and the site includes 70 hectares of forest and trails.
