Annette Bruhn is a senior researcher in marine ecology at the Department of Ecoscience, Aarhus University, where she has spent over 18 years studying the cultivation and use of seaweed. Holding a PhD in marine biology, she has led numerous projects on seaweed's potential as food, feed and a climate tool - including as project leader of Tang.nu and co-founder of AlgeCenter Danmark. She also sits on the board of Tangnetværket and represents her department in Aarhus University's Centre for Circular Bioeconomy.
Annette Bruhn tells DR that Danish people's acceptance of seaweed as a food requires them to encounter the products in everyday life - for example in hospitals and canteens.
