Kjeld Hermansen (born 1946, Vejle) holds a doctorate in medicine and serves as associate professor at Aarhus University and adjunct professor in human and clinical nutrition at the University of Copenhagen. His research centres on diet, type 2 diabetes and the metabolic syndrome, with a publication record exceeding 390 scientific works. He has chaired the Danish Endocrine Society and served as president of the Diabetes and Nutrition Study Group under the European Association for the Study of Diabetes (EASD), and in 2023 he published a popular-science monograph on coffee with Aarhus University Press.
