Rockmuseet is Denmark's national museum for pop, rock and youth culture, situated in the Musicon district of Roskilde on a former industrial site. It opened on 29 April 2016 in a striking 4,000 m² gold-clad building designed by architects COBE and MVRDV. The permanent exhibition traces Danish rock and pop history from the 1950s to the present through sound, images, artefacts and interactive installations. The museum also has a sound laboratory, café and shop, and regularly hosts events and temporary exhibitions.
