Life Forces - Elisa Lykke on cancer and survival: Tuesday 13 April 2027, 17:00–19:00, Sorø Bibliotek, Sorø. Tickets cost 50–75 kr.

When journalist and author Elisa Lykke received a cancer diagnosis, she found herself searching for stories about people who had found their way through illness and fear. This became the foundation for her book "Life Forces - Nine Women on Surviving Cancer".

In this lecture, she shares insights from her conversations with Ghita Nørby, Søs Egelind, Charlotte Bøving, Mai Mercado, and Cana Buttenschøn - women with vastly different lives but united by the shared experience of a cancer diagnosis and how the illness transforms everything. The conversations explore what helps people hold onto hope and courage, and what strength can be found in community, humor, creativity, and love.

The event takes place in the Auditorium at Sorø Library and is a collaboration between Sorø Library and the Hospice House Filadelfia Support Association, supported by the Nordea Foundation. Members of the Hospice House Filadelfia Support Association receive a ticket discount.
