Book Reception "When Woodstock Came to Sønderborg"

Book Reception - When Woodstock Came to Sønderborg: Saturday 14 November 2026, 14:00–17:00, Sønderborghus, Sønderborg. Admission is free.

The book "When Woodstock Came to Sønderborg" explores the flourishing of amateur rock music in the Sønderborg area from the 1970s through the mid-1980s. It is a follow-up to Gunnar Korff Rasmussen's 1986 book "When the Beatles Came to Sønderborg - a musical-cultural retrospective of the time rock music arrived in Sønderborg".

The subtitle reads "a musical mosaic from Broagerland, Augustenborg, Nordals and Sønderborg about amateur music in the period 1970-1985". The book contains more than 50 musician biographies of bands from those years.

The book is released on November 14. The occasion is marked with a reception at Sønderborghus, and everyone is welcome.
