Wall Relief Ceramic Workshop // 6.11 & 20.11 // Sønderborghus

Wall Relief Ceramic Workshop: Friday 20 November 2026, 18:00, Sønderborghus, Sønderborg. Tickets cost 480 kr.

Design and shape a wall relief in clay at this ceramic workshop at Sønderborghus. Draw inspiration from nature, patterns, organic forms, or your own imagination. No experience needed - the focus is on immersion, creativity, and hands-on work.

The course runs over two evenings: 6.11.26 and 20.11.26. The first evening runs from 18:00 to 21:00 and covers basic slab techniques, modelling, and texture, so you can give your work a personal touch. The second evening lasts from 18:00 to 19:30, when participants glaze their wall reliefs. The ceramic studio has 50 glazes to choose from.

Once your work is fired, you can collect your wall relief from the studio. It takes 7-14 days, so allow some time. Your instructor is Tina Kristensen, a trained pastry chef and nutrition assistant who has worked with ceramics as a hobby in recent years. A folk high school stay opened her eyes to the possibilities of clay. She has studied under Anne Mette Klit from Clay Play and has been working on her own ceramic projects in the basement at Sønderborghus since 2022.

Clay is not included in the price. Stoneware clay costs 75 kr. per kg, and porcelain clay costs 95 kr. per kg.
