Ester feels out of place. When her classmates talk about parties, flirting, and love, she stands apart, watching as if she's missing something everyone else has. How do you tell a world obsessed with desire and the search for "the one" that you're different? And how do you shake off the shame of not fitting in?

Ester has an online friend, Olli, whom she knows from a subreddit for asexual people. When Olli gets a boyfriend, Ester feels betrayed and questions what's wrong with her. At her job in the cinema, colleague Sofia is her light in the darkness, but when Sofia develops feelings for Ester, she becomes frustrated. Meanwhile, Ester's father hopes his daughter will meet the right person, while he himself searches for meaning after his divorce from Ester's mother.

TOUCH ME, DON'T TOUCH ME explores identity, friendship, expectations, and the courage to go your own way. Ester struggles with social pressure in high school and tries to find her footing and stand by herself. The production is both humorous and serious, touching on something broader than the theme itself: being young and trying to find yourself while the world around you has already decided who you should be.
