About

Jonas H. Petersen is the Danish singer-songwriter behind the project Hymns from Nineveh, which he founded in 2007. His 2011 debut album won GAFFA's Album of the Year award, and four English-language albums followed with P3 radio hits including "A Kid on the Beach". From 2020 he switched to writing in Danish, releasing three Danish-language albums - most recently "Parabler" (2024), which received five stars from GAFFA. His songs sit at the intersection of hymn tradition and pop, exploring faith, doubt and existence.
