Mikkel Thorup is a Danish professor of the history of ideas at Aarhus University. His research focuses on political thought, liberalism and the history of ideologies, and he has written extensively on topics ranging from capitalism to political philosophy. He is also an active public intellectual who regularly lectures outside academia.
