From the Grave to the Star over Bethlehem - Oratorios by J. S. Bach

Concerto Copenhagen and Lars Ulrik Mortensen present three of Bach's major oratorios at Holmens Kirke on Friday, 13 November 2026 at 19:00. This performance is one of eight Danish dates across the ensemble's tour of churches throughout the country. Holmens Kirke, one of Copenhagen's oldest churches founded in 1619, stands by Holmens Kanal near Christiansborg and has hosted major state occasions throughout its history. The program moves backward through the life of Jesus - from the Easter Oratorio through the Ascension narrative to rarely performed cantatas from the Christmas Oratorio - featuring international soloists and developed in collaboration with Festival Bach de Lausanne. Tickets cost 50-200 kr.
