Holberg Walk in Sorø
A guided tour through Holberg's Sorø led by Jeanette Rask Bertelsen, curator and Holberg specialist from Sorø Museum. The walk begins at Sorø Museum with Holberg coffee and cake, then explores the city to answer the question: who was Ludvig Holberg, and what role did he play in the development of Sorø Academy?
The route runs from Christian IV's old inn in the city centre to the academy grounds, where Holberg's educational visions in the 18th century are put into context. Along the way, the group visits Holberg's sarcophagus in the Monastery Church before returning to Sorø Museum.
The walk is organized by Sorø Museum in collaboration with Sorø City Centre Project and Sorø Library & City Office, and highlights the city office's walking and cycling routes, including the Holberg Route. If the event is sold out, you can join the waiting list via Place2book on a first-come, first-served basis. If you have purchased a ticket but cannot attend, please cancel so your place can be offered to others.
