From Seed to Community
How do you harvest your own seeds? Which plants are good to start with? And what happens when you don't just save them, but also share them - along with the experience and joy of growing?
This evening is practical: we work with seeds and go through how to harvest, dry and store them. You'll make and decorate your own seed envelope so you can start a collection at home.
Seeds are also an opportunity to meet others. Along the way, we talk about what interests us, what we'd like to learn, and what we might want to do together - whether it's collecting seeds, visiting other people's kitchen gardens, growing heritage varieties or learning more about wild plants. Ideas and interests are helped to find each other, so you can go home with both a seed envelope and perhaps a couple of people to take a first green step with.
You don't need any prior knowledge, a garden or a ready-made idea - curiosity is enough. If you have seeds with a special story, you're welcome to bring them, but it's not required.
The evening is facilitated by Signe Schrøder, Grønne Nabofællesskaber. Target audience: adults. Free, but registration is required.
