The Good Life in and with Nature
Sorø Bibliotek, Sorø · 100 kr. · ≈ 13 €
Walking in the forest or sitting by the water feels good - but what does science actually tell us about that connection? Dorthe Varning Poulsen, lecturer and PhD at the University of Copenhagen, explores this question when she visits Sorø Folkeuniversitet.
Her research focuses on nature's health-promoting effects, and the lecture covers all three dimensions: physical, mental, and social. She examines what specifically works, for whom, and under what conditions - drawing on both our evolutionary background and modern life's distance from nature.
The lecture moves from the personal to the professional: from nature as an everyday resource across all life stages to its more systematic role in health and prevention.
