On Tuesday, September 1st, representatives of the Elderly Council, Maybritt Jensen and chair Tina Czajkowski, will be at Sorø Library to discuss ongoing matters, plans and ideas.

The council needs input from the municipality's seniors to advise decision-makers in Sorø Municipality, so questions and suggestions are welcome. The event is free and requires no registration - coffee, tea and pastries will be served.

About the venue: Sorø Bibliotek

Sorø Bibliotek is housed in "de unge herrers gård" on Storgade - one of the oldest buildings in town, erected in 1623-25 by Christian IV as lodgings for his sons while they attended Sorø Akademi. The library has occupied almost the entire building since 1956, and the original half-timbering is still visible in the courtyard. Alongside books and digital services, the library hosts lectures, film screenings, music events and workshops; Sorø Bykontor (the municipal tourist office) is also based here.
