Maren Uthaug discusses 1% - author talk: Wednesday 10 February 2027, 17:00–18:30, Biblioteket Sønderborg, Sønderborg. Tickets cost 80 kr.

Norwegian author Maren Uthaug visits Biblioteket Sønderborg to discuss her percentage trilogy. On September 24, 1% will be released, concluding the series after the bestsellers 11% and 88%.

She will talk about the ideas behind the trilogy's speculative universe. In this world, free men have disappeared and society is matriarchal. Women's orgasms count as mental hygiene, and everything related to men is perceived as disgusting and repulsive.

Maren Uthaug is an author, illustrator, and journalist. In recent years she has become one of the Nordic region's most read and debated writers, known for original, humorous novels about society. She won the Golden Laurels for 11%, and both 11% and 88% were voted Novel of the Year at the Mofibo Awards two years in a row. Her books have also brought her surprising press headlines, harsh messages in her inbox, and very long queues at book signings. Information wrote about 11%: "Literature doesn't get much wilder".

Cake and coffee before the event: With your ticket you can pre-order a slice of cake from Café Kjukken and a cup of coffee of your choice for 70 kr. You pick it up at the café before the event, so arrive in good time to avoid queues.

The offer is only valid with a valid ticket to the event and can only be used on Wednesday, February 10, 2027 before the start. It must be ordered by February 8, 2027.
