Guided art walk — Sorø Bykontor, Sorø

Starting at Sorø Art Museum, museum inspector Ida Lehrmann Madsen leads a walk through the city, exploring the artists, locations, and stories that have shaped Sorø's place in Danish art history - including the landscapes and environments that successive generations of artists have drawn inspiration from.

After the walk, everyone gathers at the museum café for coffee, tea, and cake. The ticket covers the walk itself, entry to Sorø Art Museum, and refreshments.

The event continues at Gravel Art 7, a disused gravel pit where private landowners Ole B. Nielsen and Tora Strand have invited 20 artists to create site-specific works. Artist Heine Skjerning will introduce this year's exhibition. Transport to the gravel pit is not included and must be arranged independently. The address is Sognefogedvej 24, approximately 300 metres from Parnasvej - entrance at the large sign, parking in the verge leading into the gravel pit.

No prior knowledge is required. If the event is sold out, you can join the waiting list via Place2book, where tickets are released on a first-come, first-served basis. If you have purchased a ticket but cannot attend, please cancel so your place can be given to someone else.

The walk is a collaboration between Sorø Library & Town Office, Sorø Municipality, and the Sorø Town Centre Project.

Parking: At Sorø Art Museum, parking is available on Storgade and Torvet (with time restrictions), disabled parking in several locations on Storgade - including two spaces at the Library Gate to Den Grønne Scene - as well as parking at Munkevænget and Holbergarkaden with access from Rolighedsvej.
