Bibliotekshuset is a local public library on Amager, part of the Copenhagen municipal library network. The ground floor has lending machines, book displays and reading nooks, the basement is set up as a quiet non-fiction zone, and the first floor offers study seats, daily newspapers and computers. A rooftop terrace opens in summer. The library also acts as a neighbourhood hub, hosting reading clubs, a board-game club, a craft club and a Danish conversation group. Outside staffed hours it operates as a self-service library accessible with a health card.
